Solid Rock Baptist Church of Calgary will host its Seventh Annual Old Fashioned Camp Revival Meeting at the Methodist Camp in Tagaytay City from February 18 to 21, 2019. This meeting will be conducted the week following Solid Rock’s Youth Revival. Pastors and evangelists from the United States and Canada will be preaching at the Camp Revival. They preach in the power of God messages that the church needs today; the need for the gospel of “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21). These preachers are such a kind of men that we call “the old breed.” Biblical separation, holiness and taking a stand for the Lord Jesus Christ are all part of the challenge put before the people attending the services. The gospel will be preached with a definite call to repentance and salvation through the services. Past meetings have seen many souls saved, including some who were in the ministry.
The Solid Rock Camp Revival is unlike most other meetings currently being held by Baptist churches in the Philippines, as well as in Canada and the United States. We do not want programmed ‘dead Baptist religion,’ but a liberty for the Spirit of God to move and do what He wants in the peoples’ lives. When He is free to move there will be a power in the preaching, an anointing of the song and a response from the people to the drawing of the Holy Ghost moving in their hearts. Men must get out of the way to let God move. Most meetings today are hindered by the flesh and sin. They become soft sermons, powerpoint speeches and seminars with no God on them. We believe very strongly that God wants Filipino pastors and Christians to see the importance of the “old path revivals” and what they can do to transform their ministries and churches. Solid Rock does not want a presence in the Philippines except to help the Filipinos see REAL REVIVAL IN THEIR (BAPTIST) CHURCHES!
Music specials will be carried out through the week by the visiting churches. The music is primarily intended to liftup the Lord Jesus Christ and to prepare the peoples’ hearts for the preaching.
Registration will begin on Monday morning, February 18. The first preaching service will be Monday evening at 7:00 pm. There will be morning and evening services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. The Revival will end after the Friday morning service.
Food and lodging will be provided free to those attending the Camp Revival. Breakfast, lunch and supper will be served in the dining hall next to the auditorium. Afternoons are left free for fellowship or rest as desired.
The central location of the Methodist Camp makes it easy to locate for those coming into Tagaytay for the meeting.
